It wasn’t until the 20th century that society got away from things like herbs, hydrotherapy, and the like, and focused mostly chemicals. Ideally, one could take advantage of both. By eating good foods, focusing on getting nutrients, supplementing with natural herbs, using hydrotherapy, getting outside in the sun, and exercising, you prevent disease and illness before it arrives. If the worst happens, see a doctor and take advantage of his expertise while utilizing holistic remedies at the same time. The point is, don’t wait until you have high blood pressure to confront it, and don’t just pop a pill to fix it. In the long term, spending a little more at the store for quality, natural foods is much cheaper than surgery and prescription drugs. The up side is your food will taste better after a week or two.
